We all have goals that we want to pursue. We always keep making plans for them but most of us never really achieve them. Every new year, someone says they’ll travel more or someone says they’ll lose weight, learn a new skill, a new language, read more, etc. For most people, these goals remain dreams that they wish to live someday. The problem is that we roll and then there’s the camera but action disappears. Sometimes we spend so much time planning that we forget to act. Or maybe it’s our procrastination and laziness, that makes us not act on our goals. Or maybe we do not realize our why for achieving that goal and therefore there is an absence of passion and intense desire to actually act on accomplishing that goal. Whatever the reason may be, sometimes its necessary to just start. When we act on it, we’ll be able to make changes along the way.

Roll Camera ACTION!

So the goal that I have chosen as my #Juststart is that I will read more and actually finish what I read. Reading is something I enjoy a lot but I mostly never finish a book I start.

I have always loved how people are able to create magic through words. Thrilling and wonderful stories. Some inspire us, others make us cry. They could be fiction or non-fiction but they help us see the world from the author’s unique perspective. When I was little I used to read a lot but then in my college days I became careless and in my university days, I became busy. So now for my #JustStart, I will read every day and finish at least one book a week.

For this, I started with three tasks that I could do this week.

1st: I decided the time for it and also downloaded a habit manager app to cultivate this habit.

2nd: I decided on a book to read. It is a very interesting and eye-opening read. It discusses something I feel every person battles some point in their life.

3rd: and I started reading it

I also downloaded its pdf version on my phone so that I can resume reading whenever I want.

I will read one book every week until September. Hopefully, till then I’ll have read 9 books. To commit more to this habit, I will also write a review of every book I read.

I believe I can get success in this effort and for once actually finish books I start reading.
